The turns that mattered.
Not a complete chronology, but seven moments that changed how I observe, decide and build. Open any node to follow the shift.
01FoundationBusiness as a starting pointLearning the formal language of markets, organisations and value.
Industry and Business Management gave me frameworks for analysing how organisations make choices. It also made me curious about what structured models often leave out: emotion, culture, material and the less measurable reasons people care.
From accepting systems to questioning their blind spots.
02First practiceLearning to see systemsDiscovering that every small decision sits inside a larger dependency.
Procurement practice and supply-chain study trained me to follow a decision beyond its immediate surface: who provides what, which constraint shapes the outcome, and where evidence is needed before action.
Considered Judgment began as a way of tracing consequences.
03A private mediumFinding a voice in knittingTurning passing time into something visible—and eventually shareable.
Knitting began as a personal answer to distracted time. Publishing Chinese-language video podcasts transformed it into an editorial practice: selecting projects, testing materials, naming failures and helping other makers choose.
A private ritual became a public point of view.
04Market contactLetting reality answer backMoving from a brand hypothesis to three different market tests.
With CheckMend, I took responsibility for positioning, pricing, finance, naming and competitor research. A Shanghai market, creator consignment and herbal dyeing kit showed that affection, attention and willingness to pay are related—but not interchangeable.
Entrepreneurial Agency became experimentation, not founder certainty.Read the CheckMend case ↗
05ParisEntering another craft cultureUsing a shared practice to form relationships across language and place.
During my exchange in Paris, I became a regular presence in local knitting spaces and built genuine relationships through the craft. I also organised a Chinese-language beginner workshop with Bonjour Girls, moving an online interest into a small in-person gathering.
Cultural Sensitivity became participation rather than distant observation.Read the media and workshop case ↗
06In progressWorking at brand scaleBringing research and consumer sensitivity into a larger organisation.
At Siemens Home Appliances, I am contributing to an integrated campaign from early research toward execution and evaluation. I will develop it into a project case only after the full cycle is complete and the evidence can support the story.
The current test: retaining judgment inside organisational complexity.
07Next directionKeeping the medium openFollowing the question instead of prematurely choosing the answer.
I am exploring the intersection of cultural narrative, participatory wellness, niche brands and entrepreneurship. The future form may be a product, experience, community or venture; the website will evolve as real experiments clarify that choice.
AJORABLE is the container for what the next evidence changes.
Still being drawn.
